Instructions for using Hammond and Stephens word templates for printer compatible awards.

Step 1: Down load the appropriate template to your computer. You can use the four-digit number located in the lower left corner of your award to locate the correct template.

Step 2: Open the template with Microsoft Word. Enter the name, date and other required fields. Make sure you delete a field if you are not going to input information in it.

Step 3: To make sure the background image does not print on your award, from a PC go to File select Print. When the print window opens select options, when the option window opens make sure "drawings objects" is unchecked.

On a Mac open the printing window and open Microsoft Word in the drop down menu this will allow you to select Word Options then make sure "drawings objects" is unchecked.

The fields you have entered will print. The background image will not print.

Now you are ready to print your Hammond and Stephens Certificates!

Caution: Each printer or copier prints differently. You will most likely need to make small adjustments to have it set-up accurately.
